James Carter

James Carter is an award-winning children’s poet, non-fiction author and musician. His poetry collection Zim Zam Zoom! was shortlisted for the CLiPPA Poetry Award in 2017. For over 20 years, he has visited more than 1,200 schools across the UK, giving lively performances and workshops – often with his melodica,  named Steve. James has also appeared at many major literary festivals and is an ambassador for National Poetry Day. He lives in Oxfordshire with his family.
